So you love your dog and want to have a pet orientated theme for decorating but don’t want it to look kitchy? Well it ‘s easy to do with sophisticated dog prints.
While in Europe, I found a fantastic antique document with dogs which reminded me of our previous Black Lab Midnight, as photographed above with me in my studio. She was with me night and day and was greatly loved by all in our studio. The document I came across inspired me to create the design “Midnight”, which became a tribute to both my labs.

Dog prints are great for powder rooms, scrap booking rooms and even in dens and living rooms. I featured the “Midnight” fabric on the club chairs and window roman shade in this den / reading room. Of course, I had to make a tote bag with our designer fabric which is not only great for hauling dog treats and toys but anything else I need!

Our love of labs has continued and we now have Daisy…who is three. Daisy loves to go for car rides as you can see her with my husband and nephew in our vintage Ford “Claudia”. She has an abundance of energy and loves to hike, swim and play in the snow. All you have to say is the magic word swim and her tail starts wagging and she goes into a frenzy. During the winter months, she becomes a snow lover and with all her might leaps after snowballs…..wish I had that amount of energy! She is our perfect companion….who brings true joy to our daily lives.
Look in the future for some more updates on our pets Daisy and Lily( my African Grey Parrot).

I don’t have a dog but I do love those fabulous doggy inspired prints.
